Ingredients

beans
  • 7 ozroasted soybeans
  • 1 ozcacao nibs
  • 1 tbspmaple syrupnot sugar-free, it is what makes the nibs stick
  • 1/2 tspground cinnamon
  • 1 tspflaky sea salt

Steps

  1. 1

Heat the oven to 170 C. Toss the soybeans with the maple syrup and cinnamon until they are just tacky.

  2. 2

Spread on a lined tray and bake eight minutes, no longer. The maple burns before the beans do.

  3. 3

Tip them straight into a bowl with the cacao nibs and the flaky salt while still warm, so the nibs stick.

  4. 4

Cool completely. They are chewy warm and crisp cold.

  5. 5

Keeps two weeks sealed. Scatter over yogurt, oats or ice cream.
